A year ago before they left Class 5A, the Eaglesteam did something no team before them had ever done before. The Eagles gave Austin Anderson all they had in the area round, but fell by 13 points to end the season.Does the significance of last year’s history translate to today? New Caney does bring back first team All-District selections in senior guard Dylan Dempsey and senior forward/guard Kendall Dove.“He’s just a steady force in practice everyday,” Farmer said. “He works incredibly hard and is always putting in extra time. He’s trying to do anything he can to better himself. He’s locked in at that point guard position.”
