The new cookbook"San Antonio Cooks" by Julia Celeste Rosenfeld includes more than 80 recipes from 42 San Antonio-area restaurants.The book's targeted completion date was derailed by the pandemic as many of the participating restaurants were forced to close or significantly alter their operations. Once those business got back on their feet, Rosenfeld resumed her efforts.Wrangling more than 40 busy chefs is no simple undertaking.
Transfer the turkey to a tray and pour 1 cup of the honey on top. Remove the turkey from the tray, return to the smoker and close the lid. Smoke for 1 hour, or until the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 100-110 degrees.
