Attention has turned to who will replace Phillip Schofield on the sofa
A new favourite has emerged to replace Phillip Schofield on This Morning following his high profile departure from ITV. Schofield, 61, resigned from the broadcaster on Friday and was dropped by his talent agency YMU after admitting to an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a younger male colleague
But bookmakers have now put Irish host Craig Doyle in the picture to replace the embattled 61-year-old Schofield long-term on the show. Doyle is a familiar face to many having filled in on This Morning previously. He is also the anchor of BT Sport's rugby coverage and has also appeared on other shows on both ITV and the BBC. He has emerged as the new 5/2 favourite to take over from Phillip Schofield alongside well-known face Rylan Clark .
