Former Tyrone star Peter Canavan believes the new Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) football rules are creating a more exciting and innovative game by discouraging negative tactics.

Peter Canavan says the new football rules are ending the negative coaching that has spoiled the game in the past.But Tyrone great Canavan, now a member of the Football Review Committee, thinks the new rules are for the better.

"In previous years it was easy for the spoilers, easy for a manager to set a team up whereby you spoil the game, you give up kickouts, and it's a dreadful game to watch.
