New gelato shop to open in south side of Glasgow
Glasgow's south side is set to be treated to yet another delicious dessert option as a brand new gelato shop prepares to open its doors.
There is still no opening date for the latest eatery in the area, but the team promises it will be coming soon.In their latest social media post, La Gelatessa introduced the husband and wife duo behind the shop. "Chiara, a proud Scots-Italian and professional baker of 10+ years, has always secretly fantasised about selling gelato for a living. When lockdown hit, she used her furloughed time wisely. She experimented with different recipes, focusing on seasonal produce and using her baking knowledge to harness as much flavour from the ingredient as possible . She researched as much as she could about the good stuff.
