Peacock's Ice Cream has opened on Battlefield Road and has specials including Ode to Pollokshields - a flavour celebrating 'the best neighbourhood in the city' - and Maple Walnut.

A new ice cream shop has opened its doors in the southside this week and is on a mission to "make the best ice cream you've ever tasted".

Peacock's Ice Cream opened on Battlefield Road on Thursday, August 29, serving small batch North American-style ice cream. The shop serves a range of flavours including cookies & cream, salted caramel and Canadian campfire. It also has specials on the menu such as Ode to Pollokshields - a flavour celebrating "the best neighbourhood in the city" - and Maple Walnut.

"Peacock's Ice Cream starts with fresh Scottish whole milk, cream, and free range egg yolks with flavours often inspired by my Canadian roots."I am passionate about making ice cream the way it was always intended: fresh, all natural, and made from scratch using the best ingredients.
