Several groups joined forces for a report on lead in the drinking water at Philadelphia Public Schools. They announced the results outside school district headquarters on Wednesday and called their findings troubling.
“That 98% of schools tested by the district had at least one of those outlets with lead, over one part per billion,” Emma Horst-Martz, of PennPIRG Education Fund, said. “Out of the 1,900 outlets tested, 61% of them tested for lead.”
