New Zealand gunman kills two people hours before Women’s World Cup opening match
A gunman has killed two people at a construction site near where the first Women's World Cup match in Auckland, New Zealand is set to take place today.
Workers began moving down the stairs in the building when a man in a dark jacket who was armed shouted at them to go to the roof or he would shoot them, the Mirror reports.The gunman is reported to have begun shooting as he was moving through the building firing as people fled or hid. He said: "The offender fired at police, injuring an officer. Shots were exchanged and the offender was later found deceased."
