Thousands of new parents in Ireland are set to receive €420 from the new Newborn Baby Grant, with the first payments due on January 7th. The grant, announced in Budget 2025, provides an extra €280 on top of the usual €140 Child Benefit payment.
The first payment date of the brand new Newborn Baby Grant is within days. On average, a few thousand children are born in Ireland every month, and with parents of new babies born from the 1st of December eligible for the new grant, thousands of people are in line for the €420 boost.
