The Tory leadership hopeful's promise of another cost of living package and calls for an emergency budget lead Sunday's papers.
A number of Sunday's papers lead with fresh promises from the Tory leadership candidates. The Sunday Times reports that Rishi Sunak has pledged to introduce another multibillion-pound package to help ease the cost of living crisis, saying the country faces a stark choice between "clear-eyed realism and starry-eyed boosterism".
Writing in the Observer, former Prime Minister Gordon Brown has said that Boris Johnson and the Tory leadership candidates should agree an immediate emergency budget tackling the spiralling cost of living, or risk "condemning millions of vulnerable and blameless children and pensioners to a winter of dire poverty".The Sunday Express says that Rishi Sunak has pledged to crack down on child grooming gangs by "locking up offenders for life".
