Francis Ngannou admits he should have followed Conor McGregor 's advice by kicking Tyson Fury 's legs during their boxing fight.
McGregor, who became the first high-profile UFC fighter that crossed over to boxing when he fought Floyd Mayweather in 2017, advised Ngannou before the fight: "I'd say kick the leg". The Cameroonian responded to McGregor's advice by tweeting after the fight: "He was right I should've kick his fk legs, I can't believe that he elbowed me."
Whether it was intentional or not, Fury landed an elbow on the forehead of Ngannou but he was not deducted a point for the illegal move. “This is a boxing fight and it’s actually a proper boxing, sanctioned fight. If he starts doing anything stupid, he’ll get chucked out and disqualified. Game over. This is not a wrestling match, an MMA fight or a street fight. This is Queensbury rules. The greatest sport in history," Fury told MMA Junkie.
