Classic Hits FM presenter Niall Boylan reckons he's in tune with the public and what they want
Talk show host Niall Boylan says he is running as an MEP because voters are sick of woke culture and want common sense politics.
Dubliner Boylan, 60, said: “I’m not a politician or part of the establishment, but I know more about people and their problems, as I’ve listened to hundreds of thousands of callers in my 30 years in the job. He said: “I wouldn’t have gone into politics five years ago as people like me were being cancelled. Cancel culture has disappeared, thankfully. Woke is dying and we’re seeing it all over Europe at the moment - all this ideology is being fought back against and it’s disappearing.
The new party was set up at the end of last year by independent politicians Richard O’Donoghue and Michael Collins. “It’s about sense and fairness - for example, they are not climate deniers, but they just want a fair deal for farmers.” He reckons the EU is a great idea but it needs reform. “It was meant to be a co-op of countries working together as individuals, now we’re selling out sovereignty and rights to our own laws.
“I am all in favour of immigration - our biggest strength in this country is our diversity and our multiculturalism. If it wasn’t for our nurses and doctors in healthcare, those in hospitality, all the people who have come from all over the world to work in this country, our economy would not be as strong. But we need to ensure we have legitimate ways we can do it.
