Nick Knowles made an apology just moments into DIY SOS - where he led a team in creating a very special build for a charity.
The team had been working on a very special project on the special episode for Children in Need, where they worked to create a new base for women's charity Getaway Girls. Joined by a whole host of celebrities, Nick and his team worked tirelessly to ensure a safe haven for the women who use the charity, with some of them having been through domestic violence or abuse, whilst others have been left homeless or have been lured into gangs. Some faced two of more of these at the same time.
Taking to Twitter, he wrote: "Sadly for some reason @DIYSOS is not on in Wales until 11.10 pm which is odd given Wales has had two huge @BBCCiN builds in the last few years with @RootsWales and @surfability who are both doing great work in their new buildings." " #ChildrenInNeed just settled with a cuppa to watch another fantastic Big Build! Well done once again to @MrNickKnowles and the gang and all volunteers and of course, @BBC for hosting. #ChildrenInNeed 2022," one wrote.
"Hot diggity damn that really was an EPIC @DIYSOS Big Build for @BBCCiN for the AMAZING @getawaygirlslds. Huge Congratulations to lovely @CushionCrisis who NAILS the brief every damn time and tonight has truly EXCELLED. Well Done everyone, I’m off to have a cry too @MrNickKnowles," a third viewer shared on social media.
