Nigerian sprint hurdler Tobi Amusan confirms her class by setting new record 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬

NIGERIAN SPRINTER Tobi Amusan backed up her recent success at the World Championships by taking 100m hurdles gold at the Commonwealth Games on Sunday morning. Amusan, 25, set a new record by clocking 12.30 seconds to set a new Games record. Devynne Charlton of Bahamas claimed the silver medal while England’s Cindy Sember finished 3rd to clinch the bronze.
Her win in the Midlands came just weeks after she had stormed to victory at the 100 metres hurdles final at the World Championships held in Eugene, United States, becoming the first athlete from her country to win gold at such an event. She was keen to take the Commonwealth crown too and had said just prior to the final: “The mental part is there and the physical part is also done. But I’ve been so exhausted after those championships [in Eugene]. I’m just trying to hang in there and finish the season strong.”
