It comes after the Leader of Ashfield District Council was charged with 22 criminal offences
Nottinghamshire Police says no further action will be taken against four Ashfield councillors who were arrested last year. The force announced in November that it had arrested six members of Ashfield District Council.
But in regards to the other four arrested councillors, a Nottinghamshire Police spokesperson said: "Following a thorough investigation, a file of evidence was presented to the Crown Prosecution Service. The CPS advised that no further action will be taken against four other people arrested in connection with our investigations."Councillor Zadrozny, 42, of Sutton Road in Kirkby, faces 12 counts of fraud by false representation and five counts of money laundering.
The income tax evasion charges relate to alleged offences committed between 1 January 2007 and 1 February 2022. The drug possession charge relates to the alleged possession of cocaine on 10 September 2021.
