Councillors criticised the number of gambling premises in the town
People in Bulwell have raised concerns over the impact of gambling premises after councillors criticised the number of them in the town. The area which has a multiple bookmakers and casinos within a close proximity, was singled out whilst a ‘gambling harm strategy’ was put forward at a Nottingham City Council meeting last month.
On the new application, she added: "I think it's ridiculous, we need shops rather than arcades. We need places where you can buy nice, good quality fresh food. We don't need more betting shops." "It's gone downhill since I came to Nottingham 35 years ago. You can't get anything much decent here now.
