'I think when you're content with your decision to leave, it's very easy then to go and watch games.'

Former Dublin star Lyndsey Davey said she had no mixed feelings as she watched Mick Bohan’s side storm to All-Ireland glory this year.

“No, it actually wasn't,” she said. “I know a lot of players when they retire that it's something they can struggle with, watching games. For me, I would have felt that I was just so proud of the girls. Although Bohan previously led Dublin to the four-in-row from 2017-20, Davey rated this latest All-Ireland as “one of his biggest achievements”.

And Bohan has now signed up for another year at the helm after some deliberation since the All-Ireland final in August. “It’s definitely a lot easier with Mick staying on. I’m really excited to see now next year what they’re going to do.”
