Graham Rowntree's side can go top with a victory at Edinburgh on Friday night
Shane Daly says Munster were always confident they would come good at the business end of their URC title defence.
"We knew what we achieved at the end of last season and the performances that we put in at the end of last season. "It's about looking forward. Definitely using the success of the past and what's worked in the past but not getting too fixated with what's happened before and just focusing on each game as it comes.
"I would have been good friends with Ben here so it's been great to see how well he's been going over there, he's been a talisman for them," said Daly, who himself will be regarded as a dangerman by Edinburgh after scoring five tries in the last six games.
