Letter to the Editor: Given the allegations, it will be impossible to stomach rooting for my team with a quarterback (leader) like that at the helm.
I’ve been a loyal Browns fan my whole life, and, until recently, never experienced anything close to seeing the Browns achieve “success” . I have been a season ticketholder since 2015. I invested in tickets through the worst historical stretch of professional football in history . I continued to support the Browns because of what they meant to the city of Cleveland.
I am asking the Browns, please don’t trade for Deshaun Watson. Given the allegations, it will be impossible to stomach rooting for my team with a quarterback like that at the helm. I know the motto is “winning cures all,” but, for me, I would rather support a team that goes 0-16 again than watch my favorite team, week in and week out, playing with a moral dilemma internally. I’m sure the team feels the number of fans lost will be relatively minimal, but you will lose some.
If this is what it takes to win, I’d rather just keep losing. Thanks to anyone who takes the time to read this or share it with the Haslam family.Note to readers: if you purchase something through one of our affiliate links we may earn a commission.
