'Tonight, the Manchester rain will taste like champagne': Noel Gallagher celebrates Man City's Champions League win from San Diego bar

Noel Gallagher has said that champagne will be falling from the skies over Manchester after his beloved City beat Inter to win the Champions League Final. Noel regularly attends City games home and away but missed out on the Blues securing their first European cup to secure the treble in Istanbul last night.

Being on tour did not stop the former Oasis guitarist and songwriter seeing City complete history with their 1-0 victory last night. Noel was able to find a watch party in San Diego, California, where he watched on with a number of fellow Citizens.Video shared on social media during the game showed fans serenading the rock'n'roll star with Oasis hit Don't Look Back in Anger, with Noel encouraging the crowd.

Speaking after the final, Noel told BT Sport: "Tonight, the Manchester rain will taste like champagne." He also said this will certainly not be the last trophy City win.Noel previously spoke of his upset at not being able to attend the game due to being on tour, blaming the change to the football schedule due to last year's World Cup for not being at the game.
