Chelsea Crompton of Vale, North Carolina, was arrested and charged with the murder of 4-year-old Hazel Lidey after EMS personnel discovered bruises on the girl before she died.
Donald Brown said in a statement."We mourn with the Lidey family as they grieve the loss of their child. Justice for Hazel."Catawba County Sheriff Donald Brown said the community has "been shocked by the senseless violence that caused Hazel’s death.""Hazel, she was just a breath of fresh air. A beautiful child," a friend named Melissa Caudle told the outlet."She was just happy. I don’t see how anybody could hurt her.
