North Korea says it is 'fully ready for a long-standing confrontation with the US' after successfully testing 'monster' nuclear missile
North Korea's latest launch was a huge, new intercontinental ballistic missile state media reported on Friday. Leader Kim Jong Un said the test was designed to demonstrate the might of its nuclear force and deter any U.S. military moves. It was the first full ICBM test by nuclear-armed North Korea since 2017.
