Under new rules introduced by the UK Government, anyone voting in person at a General Election must show an accepted form of photo ID.
North Lanarkshire Council has reminded residents to ensure they have photo ID when voting at a polling station on July 4.

Anyone who has registered to vote but not yet received their polling card should contact North Lanarkshire Council’s election office on [email protected] or 01698 302058 or 302026.
“This is the first time that voter ID is needed at an election in Scotland,” Des Murray, North Lanarkshire Returning Officer said.
