He said: “I was the only one in the field on Sunday, but yesterday there were tons of people and about 20 or 30 cars.“It was cool having lots of people there and a bit surreal. It was nice to see a buzz around it.”
It is rare that the Northern Lights will be seen this far south. If they are visible in the UK, it is usually in Scotland.Mr Rabinowitz, who has seen the natural wonder in Finland and Norway, said: “The shapes are easier to pick up there.
