The sequel to the 1988 classic will be released next year It was a staple of many 1980s and 1990s childhoods, and now ’ Beetlejuice ’ is getting a sequel, 26 years later. ’ Beetlejuice 2’ will be released next year and will see some of the same characters from the 1988 comedy-horror return. Winona Ryder will reprise her role as Lydia Deetz, who in ’ Beetlejuice ’ is a teenage girl who can see and communicate with the ghosts living in the house that she and her family move into.
