The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) is yet to announce the schedule of the proclamation for the winning national candidates and party-list groups.

According to Frances Arabe, COMELEC’s Assistant Director of the education and information department, the proclamation could be sometime this week, either Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday as the body will still wait for the pending Certificates of Canvass .

The poll body sitting as the National Board of Canvassers has yet to receive the COCs from Isabela and Zamboanga del Sur as there were incidents of burning of vote counting machines and ballot boxes in these provinces.Arabe also said the commission was still waiting for four COCs from Japan, Washington D.C. in the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Nigeria.“It depends. Kung kayang magpartial, magpapartial muna kami,” Arabe said.

But she did point out that the candidates occupying the top six rankings in the senatorial race may already be considered as sure winners. As of 8p.m., Saturday, Cynthia Villar and Grace Poe are stilling leading COMELEC’s partial official count, followed by Bong Go ; Pia Cayetano ; Bato Dela Rosa ; and Edgardo Sonny Angara . #MatalinongBoto2019
