Wetherspoon spokesman, Eddie Gershon said: “Wetherspoon has numerous pubs in Nottingham as well as the county itself. There are 850 Wetherspoon pubs across the UK and the company has grown to this number since opening its first pub in north London in 1979.
“People like our style of pub and the fact that the pubs offer drinks and food at value for money prices. They also like the fact that Wetherspoon takes old buildings, many of them empty and disused and converts them into its pubs.
