She's nervous but excited to appear on the show
A Nottingham nurse says she is nervous but excited to see herself appear on 24 Hours in A&E. Clinical support worker Iona Mowat said she has been watching the Channel 4 show since she was 12 years old.
"I've watched 24 Hours in A&E since I was about 12. I thought I'd just be in the background. When they contacted me saying they really want to do an episode with me I just couldn't turn it down, it's such a big thing for me. "It's something I can look back on when I'm older to show the kids." Iona said she and about 20 family members will watch the show, which airs at 9pm on Tuesday, January 10, together from her home in West Bridgford.
An interview with Iona features throughout the latest episode, in which she is also seen caring for Keith, a 58-year-old admitted with one of the highest heart rates the department has seen. "I remember that case so well, just because of how high his heat rate was," she recalled.
