Blur and Oasis had one of the most famous rivalries in pop music history back in the 1990s

In a move no one saw coming, Blur's Dave Rowntree said he would "definitely go and see" old Britpop rivals Oasis on their reunion tour.

He said: "So people wanting to see England as a North-South divided country could lay that on there, people that wanted to view it in terms of class could do that." Blur's frontman Damon Albarn who predicted Oasis would get back together - previously admitted to getting "caught up" in the hype. Years later, the Supersonic hitmaker teamed up with Damon to perform backing vocals on his band Gorillaz' track We Got the Power in 2017, and Noel admitted his teenage self would have been decidedly unimpressed.

The siblings begin their tour in Cardiff and end in Dublin, playing Manchester's Heaton Park and London's Wembley Stadium in between. The Mirror exclusively revealed Oasis will then move onto their North America tour in August and September next year, in a series of yet to be announced dates.
