Former President Barack Obama took to the stage on Saturday night to warn the crowd of the dangers of political rhetoric. While not identifying any person or group in particular, it was evident that he meant the Republicans. He brought up the dangers of people standing outside voting booths armed to try to intimidate voters. Yet, Obama was singing a different tune in 2008 when the New Black Panther Party did this very same thing in Philadelphia.

On Nov. 4, 2008, two members of the New Black Panther Party stood outside a polling site in Philadelphia, dressed in paramilitary uniforms, carrying a nightstick, intimidating voters, and calling them racist slurs. The two Black Panthers"stood shoulder to shoulder in front of the entrance to the polling place and were positioned in such a way that voters had to pass within arm's length of them to gain access.
