Funds from an unofficial page have been transferred to Nottingham Panthers
The Nottingham Panthers Ice Hockey team has launched an official fundraiser after the death of Adam Johnson. US national Johnson died after sustaining a severe injury in an Elite League ice hockey match between his team the Panthers and the Sheffield Steelers on Saturday, October 28.
Nottingham Panthers had previously asked fans to "exercise caution" when donating money after an unofficial fundraiser was set up in Adam's memory. A tweet from the club's account on X said that the owner of the fundraising page was not affiliated with or known to the club.
