Ohio may become the eighth state to allow high school athletes to profit from their name, image and likeness.
College athletes in Ohio, and around the country,through things like endorsement deals and autograph signings since July 2021, and the Ohio High School Athletic Association's member schools will vote on allowing their athletes the same opportunities in May.
OHSAA executive director Doug Ute told The Dispatch in September that the organization had begun to have conversations about the NCAA's NIL rules and what it meant for high school athletes.
