Ohio man gets 25 years in prison for child porn involving 5-year-old

Christopher Sammons, 28, of Westerville, was sentenced in federal court after being convicted of four child-exploitation crimes in June 2021.

A news release from the U.S. District Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio says Christopher Sammons, 28, abused the young victim while he was babysitting her. Prosecutors say that on March 11, 2019, an undercover FBI agent in Little Rock, Arkansas, received a message from Sammons regarding sexual interest in children. Throughout their conversations, Sammons encouraged the undercover agent to “just make some homemade stuff” when discussing child pornography.

The FBI in Columbus and a task force officer began communicating with Sammons. He told the task force officer he had been sexually abusing the victim for a year, prosecutors say.
