Letter to the Editor: What a major disappointment for Ohioans if our state government loses the opportunity to apply for the transportation and passenger-rail infrastructure funds.
Already, we are behind all East and West Coast states in providing transportation for our workers, and there is no good way to travel east or west from Cleveland aboard Amtrak without a middle-of-the night boarding. There is no rail transportation at all going north or south through the state to our major cities.
If Ohio fails to act on the application for these funds, we will be left in the dust from other more progressive states. This will be yet another reason for our young people to look elsewhere in planning their career locations that may rely on transportation to their jobs. Please, do not let Ohio lose out again.Note to readers: if you purchase something through one of our affiliate links we may earn a commission.
