Tim Ryan and J.D. Vance projected confidence as they barnstormed the state in the final days of Ohio's U.S. Senate race.
released Friday had Vance ahead of the 10-term congressman by 9 percentage points, when accounting for the preferences of undecided voters."My consistent view here is that we're going win," Vance said Sunday during a campaign event in Ashland."I do think the polls, whatever they say, I think they're under representing a very significant part of our base. And so if they're good for me, I think we're going to win by a bigger margin.
Vance will join former President Donald Trump on Monday at a rally near Dayton. Trump last visited Ohio in September and joked that Vance was"kissing my a--," which Ryan subsequently mocked and incorporated into his stump speech. Unlike Vance, Ryan largely campaigned on his own in recent weeks and never joined forces with the Democrat running for governor, former Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley. Sen. Sherrod Brown made an appearance at a rally for Ryan in Cleveland Sunday night.in Democratic counties were in his favor, despite what new polling may suggest.
