David Watson co-founded EV charging company Ohme, which helps drivers take advantage of electricity providers’ off-peak tariffs – and envisions a world where charging can be customised and automated

David Watson doesn’t have to think too hard about how to relax when he needs a break from his day job. The co-founder of Ohme, the electric vehicle charging company which has just become Volkswagen’s official Irish charging partner, can spend time in his orchard in Glounthaune in Cork.

“It’s nice when you are out there, working away,” Watson says. “You’re not really thinking much, other than about the job you are doing.”
