More than 1.5 million older people claiming Attendance Allowance are set for a significant income boost next month when the disability benefit increases by 6.7 per cent. On top of that, the New and Basic State Pensions are set to rise by 8.5 per cent, while additional elements of the contributory benefit will go up by by 6.7 per cent as part of the Department for Work and Pensions annual uprating.
