More than 1.4million older people are receiving extra financial help through Attendance Allowance from the DWP.
The latest figures from the Department for Work and Pensions show that in February this year, there were 129,641 people living in Scotland receiving additional financial support through Attendance Allowance. Across Great Britain, there are now more than 1.4million people over State Pension age getting either £68.10 or £101.75 each week through the benefit.
“Information on the availability of Attendance Allowance is already widely available, including online on GOV.UK; from places such as Libraries and Doctors Surgeries; directly from Health Care Professionals who might be supporting those with care needs; and from a range of groups and charities who provide advice and support to elderly people with care needs.

You do not need to have someone caring for you in order to make a claim.
Latest State Pension News How much could I get on Attendance Allowance? You could receive £68.10 if you need help during the day or at night or £101.75 if you need help during the day and at night, or if you are terminally ill. The benefit is paid every four weeks , which means you could receive either £272.40 or £407.00 every pay period.
