Doireann announced she has quit the radio station after five years hosting 2FM Breakfast
Comedian Oliver Callan has reacted to Doireann Garrihy ’s shock departure from RTE 2FM – saying she was leaving for a life "less restrictive".
He said: "Very sorry to see the breaking news in the media world that Doireann Garrihy is leaving RTE 2FM after five years on the Breakfast Show there, they are going to miss her greatly over there. The 2FM Breakfast presenter said she was "so glad" that the head of RTÉ 2FM, Dan Healy, "took a chance" on her in 2019, but said it was now "time for ventures new".
"Anyone would be blessed to work with one gentleman every day, I was beyond blessed to work with two."
