Glasgow woman Olivia Love won £10,000 monthly from the Set for Life lottery, total £120,000, used funds to launch a wedding photography venture with no regrets
Olivia Love, 37, from Glasgow, won €11,768 a month for a year on the National Lottery's Set for Life game, and decided to spend it all on establishing her dream careerwinner has admitted she's spent every penny of her £120,000 windfall – but insists she has no regrets whatsoever.
Her May 2025 win guaranteed her £10,000 monthly for an entire year, amounting to £120,000 in total. Once the 12-month period concluded, the payments ceased. After scooping her prize, Olivia opted to maintain a lifestyle broadly similar to what she'd been accustomed to. Rather than putting down a house deposit or splashing out on a boat, she chose to establish her "dream job".
The mother of four told Business Insider: "Money was always a source of stress. I'd say we were on the breadline. We always had enough to pay the rent and the bills, but there was never anything left over at the end of the month.
"The family therefore used the funds to achieve financial stability, though that didn't stop them enjoying some treats. Olivia revealed they held a second wedding ceremony and upgraded her husband's ageing vehicle to something newer. Subsequently, she decided to back herself and pursue wedding content creation, which she's now successfully doing. Regarding her investment in the venture, she explained: "In the first six months, I spent about £7,500 setting up Moments by Love.
"I bought everything I needed, from new phones to microphone equipment. I did my first few weddings for free or very cheaply to build up a portfolio. You have to spend money to make money.
" Olivia also noted on the website that her goal is "to document the vibe and personality of the wedding in a way that's focused on capturing the candid moments of the day without interrupting the flow of your wedding day". In April of this year, the final payment came through, which Olivia admitted was sad.
However, she insisted she has absolutely no regrets about spending the entire £120,000 , as it allowed her to secure her family's financial future and launch her into her dream career. She said: "In the end, I made the decision that was right for my career, for me, and for my family. I didn't save any of our winnings.
I could have, but because we'd struggled for so long, I don't regret a thing about choosing to live our best lives. "
