One area in Ireland could see 'thundery showers' next week
A weather expert has identified one section of the country that could be met with thundery rainfall at the end of the mini-heatwave.
Ireland has been basking in temperatures of up to 25C on the west coast and 20C in the east, in what has been described as a two week mini-heatwave.Mr O'Reilly has indicated that the possibility of thundery-rain could bear down on one area of the country due to incoming low pressure, however it is only a possibility and might well "hold off."
This week, Met Éireann published a week by week breakdown for weather in June, with the high pressure, brining with it sunny skies, due to end between Monday June 12 and Sunday June 18, however, Ireland will still have "above average temperatures."
