Ten shotgun cartridges were also confiscated, along with nine 9mm calibre short ammunition
Gardaí in North Dublin seized drugs worth approximately €117,400 and a firearm during two separate searches on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The searches took place in the Northwest Dublin suburb of Blanchardstown. During Wednesday's operation, Gardaí seized cannabis and cocaine with estimated values of €30,680 and €46,270 respectively.
This seizure was conducted as part of Operation Tara - an enhanced national anti-drugs strategy launched by Gardaí in July 2021. The widescale operation aims to disrupt, dismantle and prosecute international, national and local drug trafficking networks involved in the importation, distribution, cultivation, production, local sale and supply of controlled drugs.
