Northern Ireland has more Catholics than Protestants, for the first time in its 101-year history
.46% of people in Northern Ireland now identify as Catholic; 43.5% identify as Protestant.When it comes to identity, 32% identify as British only, 29% identify as Irish only and 20% identify as Northern Irish only.
Ten years ago 40% of people in Northern Ireland identified as British only, so there has been a drop of 9% of people identifying as British only. And when it comes to passports; there was a massive 63% increase in the number of Irish passport holders in Northern Ireland.
