The movie scored a whopping 94% on Rotten Tomatoes
You Hurt My Feelings
might be as close as we're gonna get in terms of a perfect dictionary definition. Released in cinemas in the States in May of this year, it was unfortunately not picked up for a cinematic release on this side of the Atlantic.Making less than $6 million at the worldwide box office, it is exactly the kind of movie that doesn't get the audience it deserved, but hopefully will get a new lease of life now that it is available on streaming.
As for their new movie, it tells the story of a novelist whose longstanding marriage is suddenly upended when she overhears her husband giving his honest reaction to her latest book.Racking up 94% on Rotten Tomatoes, the movie scored a number of perfect scores from critics upon its initial release:"The summer season rarely has room for a nice, adult comedy like You Hurt My Feelings. It is counter-programming of the finest order and one of the year’s best films.
