Operation Transformation leaders lose over 10 stone between them as emotional season comes to an end
Viewers were left in tears last night during the emotional grand finale of the hit RTE show.This year’s dieters were made up of Cathal Gallagher, 48, Paul Murphy, 41, Pamela Swayne, 36, Siobhan O’Brien, 30 and 33-year-old Jean Tierney.
The teary series kicked off in Santry with a “circle of truth” which unveiled the heartbreak and life struggles that led the leaders to where they were that day. Eight weeks later, weighing in 2st 12lb lighter at 17st 1lb, the dad of two who broke hearts all over the nation when he opened up about his battle with mental health, said: “I feel absolutely fantastic”.
Weighing in at 12st 13lb, bringing her total weightloss to 1st 1lb, she told Kathryn: “I feel amazing, I did it, and I’m not sorry I did it but I’m happy it’s over.” However, after two months of hard work and dedication, he defied the odds, and ended the show with a huge weight loss of 3st 10lb.
