” : Bill Roper is correct that the city has blundered in its handling of Downtown issues over the past 15 years.The mayor has attracted some of San Diego’s most experienced individuals in Downtown development. Laurie Black, Jack McGrory, Mark Nelson, Michael Zuccett, Alan Gin and Tony Young have years of experience in Downtown activities and records of success. I’m sure the many other members I have not served with over the years are equally qualified.

The committee, meeting in public, is a good change from the private meetings with consultants that have ended up being costly and embarrassing.
