Neighbours living next door to a controversial 'soggy bottom' estate in Cookridge, Leeds, have have their say on the new development and the issues.

Katie, who has lived in the area for decades, said "nobody in their right minds builds on a historic bog". She added that the builders had put a lot of drainage in the counteract this and praised their effort.

George East, who lives next to the development, was more positive about the new estate, but did acknowledge the increased traffic. He said: "Having seen the development, it has been very good. They've laid some tarmac track around so there's places you can walk down by the stream and people walk their dogs and their children down there.
