‘Looking ahead to the rest of the year, it's fair to say due to economic headwinds we won’t see the same volume and scale of investment as the last two years'
Ireland’s inward investment agency is bracing for a slowdown in activity from multinationals in this country for the rest of 2023, its new chief executive has said, after a decade of what he called “staircase growth”.
Michael Lohan, who has led IDA Ireland since March, told a Bloomberg economics conference there are “both challenges and opportunities” for the country when it comes to overseas investment amid market turbulence.
