Beginning next summer, some of the top female high school basketball players in the United States will be able to take part in a new star-studded competition. , a sports media company with more than 85 million followers across social media platforms, is launching a league aimed at not only providing high-level game play, but also opportunities for participants to learn about brand-building and name, image and likeness possibilities.
“Basketball is a highlight and a key component is elite competition, but what we really learned from all these athletes is NIL is so important for them,” Malas said. “How do you grow your brand? How do you grow your image? How do you learn PR and media training, financial literacy, all the things that come into creating a successful athlete?” Overtime Select will look to provide resources to answer all of the questions.
