Overwatch 2 will use the original game's achievement list! Blizzard has also added a total of six new achievements for the new heroes arriving today.
launches today for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, and we've just picked up six new achievements for the free-to-play hero shooter. We can also confirm that Overwatch 2 is keeping the original game's achievement list, but with a few updated names and descriptions.
The new achievements are for the new heroes arriving with Overwatch 2: Kiriko, Junker Queen, and Sojourn. Each hero has two achievements relating to their various abilities to unlock and are worth 15 Gamerscore each. Overall these new heroes bring with them six new achievements worth a total of 90G. Blizzard has also updated swathes of original Overwatch achievements to fit with Overwatch 2. While there are far too many changes to list here, most have either had their requirements reduced to fit Overwatch 2's new 5v5 format or have updated achievement names and descriptions to bring them in line with Overwatch 2 as a whole.
